A Glacier Gathering

  1. Oops, hit send too soon. Pictures are gorgeous. Glacier was my husband’s favorite park. Montana was one of our favorite places. I’m glad I didn’t stay to see more of it on my solo trip in 2010. Maybe some day.

  2. What a great time with friends, hiking, laughs, drinks, and good food all in a gorgeous NP:) Doesn’t get much better.

It is probably a wise decision to wait to visit the Canadian Rockies. As I plan our visit which will be a month, I realize how far apart things are. You can watch our blog and see how it goes.

We are heading to east Glacier. Does Two Medicine have any power?

    1. Yes, I think we made the right decision, although it was a little disappointing as we keep hearing how beautiful it is. But sometimes you just have to follow your gut. I can’t wait to hear about your trip! Of course our change in plans means we may not be here when you are, but maybe we can meet up somewhere else. Two Medicine is gorgeous, but it’s all dry camping. In fact I think all of the campgrounds inside the park are dry camping only. If you want power you have plenty of options on the west side, on the east side the best options are in St Marys (KOA and Johnson’s.) There’s a park in East Glacier too – we just happened to drive past it 10 minutes ago. It looks okay. Not great but okay.

  3. Lovely lovely! We hope to get to the Glacier area by this weekend coming up from Billings… maybe we’ll cross paths? That would be wonderful!

    1. Yes that would be great! We have no internet/cell service where we are right now – out running errands right now and saw your note so just sent Chris a text. Although I just checked FB so maybe your plans have changed since you wrote this? We’ll be here another week or so probably – just let us know what you decide to do!

  4. Such breathtaking country! Glacier is a park we have yet to see and are hoping to do so next year, along with part of Canada. Thanks for the stunning images and some tips on where to stay. Great to meet up with friends along the way. 🙂

    1. It really is breathtaking! We are on the east side of the park now, and I have to say I think the east side is even more beautiful. I’ll be writing another post on that soon!

  5. I have no idea why I didn’t comment on this post sooner!! Your photos sure are beautiful (you did a nice job of making me look good). Haha. It was such a special trip and I’m so happy we got to spend more time together. I hope we can did it again soon. =)

  6. I have to say out of Glacier, Yellowstone, and the Tetons- Glacier was hands down my favorite. It was so beautiful and majestic like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Thanks for sharing these awesome photos!
