Yikes – I’ve been a bad blogger lately – two weeks since my last post! Here’s what we’ve been up to since leaving Crater Lake.
We visited the very cute town of Ashland, Oregon for a few days. We stayed at the Emigrant Lake campground, which would have been perfect if not for the 90+ degree temperatures and lack of shade. But other than that it’s a very nice park with big, level sites and lake views.
Ashland is very much known for its theatre scene, but we unfortunately did not take the time to see any shows. We did get in a few nice hikes, including Hobart Bluff, which is a small portion of the Pacific Crest Trail and had some great views.
We also squeezed in a little wine tasting on our last day there. Ashland has some great small wineries, and we had a lovely day sitting outside enjoying the wine and vineyard views.
From Ashland we headed back to the coast, and to Cape Blanco State Park. It was a great place to wrap up our stay in Oregon.
Cape Blanco also has a lighthouse which is open for tours.
Our blogging/RVer friends Paul and Nina were the tour guides at the lighthouse, as well as Chris and Cherie from Technomadia. We had a great time hanging out with them for a few days.
And Jake had a blast playing with Polly!
The Sixes River flows along the north side of the park ,and into the Pacific Ocean. We had a nice walk down there with the dogs on afternoon, and even saw a cute group of river otters!
After about two months in Oregon, it was finally time to move onto a new state. So next we headed south into California…more to come!
LOVE the pic of Polly & Jake…plus the one of all of us too! It was fun to see ya in Cape Blanco. Keep wining in CA!

Great Pictures. Have a great week
